YL type flange coupling is referred to as "flange coupling" belongs to the rigid coupling, it is two half-couplings with flange are connected with two shafts by ordinary flat key, and then the two half-couplings are connected with bolts, in order to transfer the motion and torque.The bolts connecting the two half-couplings can be B-grade ordinary bolts, and the torque is transmitted by the friction torque of the two half-couplings' bonding surfaces.
YL type flanged coupling has two main structural forms: 1. by reaming the hole with a bolt to achieve the two shafts to achieve alignment and by the bolt rod to withstand extrusion and shear to transfer torque; 2. by one half of the coupling on the convex shoulder and the other half of the coupling on the groove to match and alignment.
YL type flanged coupling can be made of grey cast iron or carbon steel, cast steel or forged steel is used for heavy loads or circumferential speeds greater than 30 m/s. YL type flanged coupling has high requirements for the alignment of the two shafts, and when the two shafts have relative displacements, additional loads will be caused in the mechanism, which will deteriorate the working conditions.
